NaJo by Natasha Rawls-
LRFW 2009 Clothing Line of the Year
Natasha Rawls, born and raised in Little Rock, Ar. August 23rd 1973, has been doing sketch design since junior high school. Finally, after attending college for everything from psychology and criminal justice to pharmacy technician, she began sewing her own designs in March 2006.
After a fateful meeting with two other local designers, Harriett Martin and Korto Momolu, Natasha had her first fashion showing on November 18, 2006, at Lulav in downtown Little Rock. In late
March 2007, she tried out for the popular Bravo reality show “Project Runway” in Chicago, Ill. And though she did not get on the show, it has not deterred her from her long-time dream of being a fashion designer. Natasha’s designer label is NaJo; after her two beloved sons, Nathan and Jordan.
“My ultimate goal is to be a fashion designer full-time. Fashion has literally become my life! It is all-consuming for me….”

It is more than just a client-designer relationship. Mike Stallings explains, “I have to know the client at the deepest level, their style, their choices. I establish a spiritual connection. I get to know the people so well it’s like they become my family. They are not just my clients, they are my friends and that relationship goes on forever.”
Untitled Inc is sensitive to people’s needs and backgrounds. We help them and create what they want. I’m not here to criticize anyone. We create better pieces. That’s our commitment.” “Whatever the trend, we make it better.” “We have to feel a connection prior to designing a collection so that the design comes naturally and is not contrived.
Prior to designing clothing, Untitled Inc. worked as fashion stylists at several publications, modeling agencies and celebrities. Harlem Lyrics ® “I am Nicole McGehee was was born in Flint Michigan, but grew up in Dumas, Arkansas. At the age of 33, my dream is finally coming true with my clothing line, The Nida Collection. "Since the age of 5, I knew my passion was to become a Fashion Designer. Starting with my baby dolls, I would sketch ideas and bring my visions to life. My first fashion show was March 2009, The 2nd Designer's Choice Fashion Preview, hosted by Korto Momulu and Jerelle Scott. All thanks to God for this opportunity. I would also like to extend my gratitude to Theresa Simmons who not only gave me a chance to shine, but also created a platform for other aspiring designers. Korto Momulu, thank you for all of your advice and guidance throughout my quest. As far as my family and friends, I could not have done this without you. My style is Vintage. I love the look of the 40's and 50's elaborated pieces. I am inspired by just living life and the many lessons I have experienced that caused self doubt and tended to pull everything out of me. I want all women, as well as others, to feel beautiful, regardless of their situation problems and if any, imperfections. "In the near future, you can expect to find my line at Jeante’s One of One, located in the Pleasant Ridge Shopping Center. “ Linda Rowe Thomas emerges to the forefront of fashion with the introduction of Romás, her signature ready to wear and couture collection. Free spirited, down to earth and funny is how one would describe Christopher Youngstar. His art reflects his personality.
"My artwork portrays a glimpse of the beautiful movements of life. I learn to use form, colors, and the sense of movement from the impressionist to insinuate energy in my work," says Youngstar. "The power of individual hues can express different moods in portraits and landscapes that make my paintings come alive."
A former child prodigy, Youngstar is the south’s premier artist. Raised in Little Rock by his mother, along with four older siblings, Youngstar used his artistic expression as escapism of the harsh realities of living in an environment transformed by drugs, crime and gang violence. Through it all, Youngstar was able to find a rose sprouting between the concrete’s cracks. His childhood and teenage experiences inspired his earlier artistry. Now, as a young adult, Youngstar continues to stretch his creativity in order to reach the ceiling of his artistic potential.
Youngstar explains, "To be able to use different brush techniques, and colors to create motion fascinate me. The layers of oil paint that I use on my paintings create depth and texture that bring another element of energy and excitement to my artwork. Oil paint is my favorite medium. It is rich in color and it can be used to create thick brush strokes for expressionistic artwork. My landscapes show a brief moment of nature; where time and space seem to literally dissolve, leaving you with glimpses of beauty while capturing the supreme reign of nature over mankind."
Youngstar graduated from Hall High School and received a B.F.A. from Arkansas State University at Jonesboro. His artwork has been featured at several galleries, including the Bradbury Gallery and Arkansas Art Center’s Young Artist Exhibit, in which his work was selected two years consecutively by members of the Arkansas Art Educators Association to travel to different schools and libraries. Little Rock Chapter of NAACP named Youngstar Arkansas’s Artist of the Year, two years in row. In 2003, he won "Best in Show" honors at ASU Student Juried Art Exhibition.
Youngstar understands the power of expressing oneself through art has in developing spiritual and emotional growth, therefore in his spare time he teaches art fundamentals to the youth. It’s his dream that they too will use art as a vehicle to enlighten and inspire.
Crying Tears, where fashion meets its Maker. Where the design outlives the designer, where the spirit of Jesus Christ fuses a grunge Eurocentric style with a traditional message. Crying Tears is a look for those that are not the conventional conservative type, but for those who desire to make more than just a” fashion statement”. A look that will leave a footprint in the sand of the new generation of radicals.
Clothing for those willing to stand for a life-changing cause. Those that scream, cry, and spiritually rebel against those that pass judgment for someone who may have the same beliefs but is considered a little different or eccentric.
Crying Tears is stepping in strong and maintaining its weight by speaking nothing but life into dead situations. Encouraging, uplifting, and using the gift of love to reach in and pull out the truth. Not only is Crying Tears on point with style and innovation but with what it represents. Making everybody and everything stand still and see what history being made really looks like.
Not made in Hong Kong, Thailand, or downtown L.A. but made in His image.

Linda began creating innovative designs as early as the age of six by using the scrap materials from her mother's sewing projects. " I've always been inspired by the way Jackie Kennedy Onassis brought style and glamour to everything she wore. I strive to capture that same style and sophistication in each collection." The Romás collection embodies timeless sophistication with a contemporary syle that appeals to the young trendsetter as well the more sophisticated clientele.
Although she lives with what some may view as disadvantages- facial and hand scarring left behind after surviving a house fire at the age of two- she has gone on to obtain over twelve years of management, marketing, and buying experience in the fashion industry with some of the most well known power houses in the business, such as Belk, Macy's, and IBM.
Romás is currently available at Jeante’. Box Turtle, and Bag it Up Boutique in Little Rock, AR. Linda is also an author and motivational speaker. For additional stores or further information, please contact Romás at (501) 241-0544 or by e-mail at contact@romasdesigns.com.
